Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday took a swipe at Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KT Rama Rao, saying that merely growing a beard would not make him like the chief minister. Comparing political imitation to a fox trying to appear like a tiger, Revanth Reddy said that copying another leader’s appearance or style would not help win the trust of the people.

Addressing a gathering in Vikarabad, the chief minister mocked KTR over his political demeanour and questioned whether he could gain public support without changing his approach and mindset.

“Just as a fox cannot become a tiger by trying to mimic its stripes, you cannot become a tiger by imitating one. Simply growing a beard does not make you Revanth Reddy. It took him 50 years to grow a beard. Who knows how many more years it will take for him to gain some wisdom?” Revanth Reddy said, according to a statement shared by the Telangana Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The chief minister also said that the people of Telangana would not trust a leader unless there was a genuine change in his political attitude.

“Until the leader changes the mindset, the people of Telangana will never trust [him],” he said.

The remarks come amid continued political sparring between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS in Telangana. Leaders from both parties have frequently exchanged criticism over governance, development and political leadership in the state.

REVANTH REDDY HIGHLIGHTS KODANGAL INDUSTRIAL HUB PLANS

Separately, the chief minister spoke about the development of the Rural Agri-Region Economy (RARE) Industrial Hub in Kodangal, saying the project would generate large-scale employment opportunities in the region.

According to a statement issued by the CMO, Revanth Reddy said the industrial hub was expected to support economic activity and create jobs for local residents.

He also announced that the radial road connecting Shamshabad to Kodangal would be completed by December 2027.

Highlighting the industrial potential of areas located near airports, the chief minister said such locations offered favourable opportunities for industrial growth.

The proposed road connectivity is expected to support the development plans for the region and improve access to the industrial hub.

While the chief minister’s remarks against KTR added to the political exchange between the Congress and the BRS, his comments on the Kodangal project focused on the state’s plans to promote industrial development and employment generation.
