The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the results of the CA Foundation May 2026 examination, and this year’s merit list has been dominated entirely by Maharashtra.
Nashik’s Sakshi Jain emerged as the All India Rank 1 holder with 371 marks out of 400, scoring an outstanding 92.75%.
She was closely followed by Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur, who secured AIR 2 with 367 marks (91.75%), while Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune claimed AIR 3 with 365 marks (91.25%).

Sakshi Jain from Nashik emerged as the All India topper by scoring 371 out of 400 marks, securing an outstanding 92.75%.
The second rank went to Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur, who scored 367 marks (91.75%), while Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune secured the third rank with 365 marks (91.25%).
The results underline the intense competition in one of India’s most sought-after professional entrance examinations.

PASS PERCENTAGE REMAINS AROUND 20%
The latest results once again reflected the challenging nature of the CA Foundation examination.
Out of 90,217 candidates who appeared, 18,124 cleared the exam, taking the overall pass percentage to 20.09%.
Among male candidates, 46,798 appeared and 9,769 qualified, resulting in a pass percentage of 20.88%.
Among female candidates, 43,419 appeared and 8,355 passed, with a pass percentage of 19.24%. The examination was conducted across 609 centres.
AN IMPORTANT MILESTONE
The CA Foundation examination is the entry point into one of India’s toughest professional qualifications. Candidates who have cleared the exam can now move on to the CA Intermediate level, taking the next step towards becoming Chartered Accountants.
Congratulating the successful candidates, ICAI said the results mark the beginning of a demanding but rewarding professional journey for thousands of aspiring CAs across the country.
