A BJP and a Congress candidate received just one vote each, while an RLP nominee failed to secure even his own vote in the Rajasthan urban local body elections, the results of which were declared on Monday.
BJP candidate Kailashchand secured one vote in Ward 13 of Parbatsar municipality in Didwana-Kuchaman district. Congress candidate Hina Khanam won the ward with 376 votes, while Independent Rashid Khan finished second with 195.

Kailashchand said he was registered as a voter in neighbouring Ward 12 despite being fielded from Ward 13.
“I got one vote. My vote is in Ward 12. Someone from that ward voted for me,” he told PTI.
Congress won 13 of the 25 wards in Parbatsar, securing a simple majority, while the BJP won the remaining 12.
In Nagaur district, Congress candidate Mazeed Mohammad also received just one vote in Ward 15 of Riyanbari municipality. BJP candidate Sunil Kumar Chauhan won the ward, with the RLP’s Gajendra finishing second.
RLP candidate Om Prakash received no votes in Ward 3 of Sindhri municipality in Balotra district. Congress candidate Bhanwara Ram won with 133 votes, defeating the BJP’s Khema Ram, who secured 93.
Om Prakash alleged irregularities in the counting, claiming that his family had 10 votes and that he had voted for himself.
“Votes were stolen. At the time of sealing the EVM, polling agents except those of the Congress were kept out. We will complain to the Election Commission,” he told PTI.
The results came as votes were counted for elections to 309 urban local bodies across Rajasthan, with more than 10,000 councillor posts at stake.
Opposition parties accused the ruling BJP of using official machinery to influence the polls, an allegation the party rejected.
