Full list of nominees for the 2026 Emmy Awards

Television’s night of nights is nearly upon us. On Tuesday, some of Hollywood’s finest will descend on Los Angeles’ Peacock Theatre for the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards, celebrating the best in American television.

The past year was packed with quality content, from prestige medical dramas such as The Pitt to long-standing comedy favourites such as Hacks. There were also a few new surprises, including the bendy sci-fi drama Pluribus, edgy comedy Margo’s Got Money Troubles and Apple TV’s surreal horror comedy Widow’s Bay.

This year’s ceremony may feel slightly shorter than usual. In June, it was decided that five of the categories would shift from the primetime telecast to the Creative Arts Emmys, which took place this month.

These categories included writing for a variety series, supporting actor and actress in a limited series or movie, directing for a limited series or movie and writing for a limited series or movie.
