Hyderabad: On Thursday, August 20, GMHC Commissioner RV Karnan held a review meeting to discuss the arrangements needed to ensure the smooth running of the festival as the event is about a month ahead.
All More Commissioners, Zonal Commissioners, and HODs took part in the meeting, with a particular attention to the recently added circles and zones and the recently incorporated areas, where Ganesh idols and followers are expected to see significant movement.
Ganesh Nimmajan is scheduled for September 25th, 2026, while Vinayaka Chavithi may become celebrated on September 14.
Particular attention will be given to the Balapur Ganesh march and soaking plans, which will include organized planning from the Utsav Committee, the officers, and all collection agencies.
Problems involving streets, barricading, crane, electricity, water supply, sanitation, and emergency services may be addressed by a dedicated coordination system.
A handle room will also be set up for fast response, real-time coordination, and monitoring throughout the festival and enjoyment period. Additionally, the plan specifies a control room for Tank Bund, as well as moving and stable cranes for key lakes, tanks, and immersion locations.
At regular intervals, the GHMC may employ Ganesh Action Teams, round-the-clock hygiene personnel, portable toilets, fogging teams, cranes, boats, swimmers, lifesaving products, ambulances, and medical staff.
Before September 13, road repairs on procession routes are expected to be finished, and crane-related tasks are also expected to be finished before the same time.
