After impressing fans with his intense avatar in Awarapan 2, actor Emraan Hashmi is back in action mode. Emraan unveiled the teaser of his next film, Gunmaaster G9, offering a glimpse into an intense romantic action entertainer packed with high-octane moments, music and larger-than-life characters.
The one-minute, 22-second teaser introduces Emraan as a fearless man driven by his love for Genelia Deshmukh’s character. His intense devotion comes through in a powerful dialogue: Mujhe chahe duniya ki sabse buri maut dena, mere jism ke tukde tukde kar dena aur kawwo ko khila dena, par Mahadev se itni hi vinti hai ki jab tak mai apne ishq ki dehleez tak na pahunch jaun, meri sansein mat lena (You may inflict the most gruesome death upon me—tear my body to pieces and feed them to the crows, but I have just one prayer to Mahadev: do not take my breath away until I reach the threshold of my love).”

Along with the romance, the teaser hints at the film’s action-heavy world. Emraan’s character is introduced with a revolver barrel, immediately setting an intense tone, while the glimpses of larger-than-life characters suggest that the story will be far from straightforward.
What also stands out in the teaser is its background music, with Himesh Reshammiya lending his voice to the track. Having previously collaborated with Emraan on popular songs such as Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Aap Ki Kashish and Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, their reunion adds an interesting musical touch to Gunmaaster G9.
Aparshakti Khurana appears to bring a quirky and unpredictable energy to the proceedings, adding another dimension to the action and chaos teased in the first glimpse.
However, audiences can also catch it on the big screen, as reportedly the teaser will be attached to Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups in theatres. This gives fans an early glimpse of Emraan’s next action-packed outing following Awarapan 2.
Directed by Aditya Datt, the film stars Genelia Deshmukh, Aparshakti Khurana and debutant Abhishek Singh alongside Emraan. It is slated to release in theatres on November 27.
