New Delhi: A foreigner who was hurt in the resort fire in Malviya Nagar, north of Malviya Nagar, was treated at a hospital, according to police, who added 22 people to the tragic death toll on Sunday, June 7.
On Wednesday night, the fire that ripped through Flourish Stays B&, B in the Hauz Rani neighborhood killed 21 people, including a 16-year-old woman and some foreigners from Kyrgyzstan, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Iraq, Congo, Mozambique, and Liberia.
Late last night, Deputy Commissioner of Police ( South ) Anant Mittal reported that a foreigner who was receiving treatment at a hospital in Delhi succumbed to injuries.
With this, the death toll from one of the most notorious fire incidents to be reported in the federal investment in recent years has increased to 22.
The owner of the hotel and the baker have been detained by the Delhi Police, who allege that his carelessness may have contributed to the incident. Numerous various individuals connected to the business are being questioned.
According to police sources, initial investigations point to the possibility that the baker’s actions were to blame for the fire’s epidemic. Researchers are questioning a number of people connected to the resort while examining the precise sequence of events.
Lavkesh Bajaj, the owner of a hotel, was previously detained by police and booked on suspicion of criminal homicide without the purview of crime. The investigation will focus on reported security breaches, unrequited room expansion, and mismanagement of fire safety measures.
According to the Pine filed by Malviya Nagar Police, the hotel was operating 25 bedrooms despite having authority for just six.
Additionally, alleged deficiencies in the building’s air and disaster planning have been discovered. When rescue teams arrived, the room entrance was discovered locked, forcing firefighters to unlock the door while doing so.
Many police teams are looking for resort owner associate Jay Mishra, who has been running away since the incident.
