The Government of India has introduced the e-OCI Card, a digital version of the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card that can be stored on your smartphone. Existing OCI cardholders can generate and download the e-OCI card through the OCI Services Portal, making it easier to access and present during travel.

WHAT IS AN E-OCI CARD?
The e-OCI card is the digital version of the physical OCI card. It allows OCI cardholders to conveniently carry their card on a mobile device while travelling or when identity verification is required.
WHO CAN DOWNLOAD IT?
The facility is available for existing OCI cardholders. If you already have an OCI card, you can generate and download its digital version through the official OCI Services Portal.
STEP 1: LOG IN TO THE OCI SERVICES PORTAL
Visit the official OCI Services Portal.
Log in using your existing User ID and Password.
If you have not registered on the portal, complete the registration process using the same email address that was provided during your OCI application.
STEP 2: OPEN THE E-OCI TAB
After logging in, go to your dashboard and click on the e-OCI tab.
STEP 3: GENERATE YOUR E-OCI CARD
Your OCI application details will appear on the screen.
In the last column, click on Generate e-OCI Card.
STEP 4: DOWNLOAD THE CARD
Once generated, your e-OCI card will be available for download.
Download the card and save it securely on your mobile phone or another trusted device.
STEP 5: USE THE DIGITAL CARD WHEN REQUIRED
You can present the downloaded e-OCI card at Immigration Check Posts and to airlines whenever required.
IS YOUR PHYSICAL OCI CARD STILL VALID?
Yes. The existing physical OCI card remains valid. The e-OCI card is an additional digital convenience and does not replace the physical card.
