Hyderabad Press Club sets a Dec. 9 date for journalists ‘ problems.

Hyderabad Press Club requested on Sunday, October 11 that the chief minister Revanth Reddy work through December 9th to overcome the journalist-related issues that have been a long-overdue. For senior journalists, these include pensions, property sites, and health cards. The team said it would reveal a gradual course of action if issues persist.

At the club’s annual public body meeting, the club made the decision. S Vijay Kumar Reddy, the organization’s leader, presided over the event, and many editors were present.

Members expressed concern about the state government’s ongoing negotiations over the leasehold of the Press Club’s space, health cards, housing options, and retirement for former journalists. They demanded that the government release a time-bound resolution program.

The team made the decision to immediately address ministries and the Chief Minister with these matters.

The executive council of the organization pledged its support for all journalists who encountered expert difficulties. A national committee was established to assist editors in handling constitutional issues, according to the statement. Older advocates Kapil Sibal, N Ram, the Hindu group’s founders, former Supreme Court justice B Sudershan Reddy, and others are among the agency’s members.

Additionally, members of the meeting made decisions regarding the club’s new structure and extra amenities.

Journalists ‘ unions in the regions have also raised the need for health accounts. The Telangana Union of Working Journalists launched a postcard campaign asking for the authorities to issue the accounts on October 2.

The Jawaharlal Nehru Journalists Housing Society received a federal attempt in 2024 from Revanth Reddy. He added that he also claimed that suggestions for approval and health cards had been issued to the Telangana Media Academy.

The Federation of Press Clubs, a regional organization of which the Press Club of Hyderabad was a founding part, was inaugurated in Hyderabad in August. Vijay Kumar Reddy had pledged to help journalists who were facing abuse, including offering legal assistance at the start.
