Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday alleged that a few members of the grand old party were acting like separatists in response to objections from some Telangana Congress officials to a proposed Jana Sena group meeting here.

The Jana Sena leader head demanded that some Telangana Congress officials ‘ limited local elections, including Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, “respond” to these issues.

Jana Sena, he said, had object if regionalism violated national identity.

He added that his party had vote in Telangana’s upcoming assembly elections in 2028.

He claimed that he cannot represent the TDP and BJP, which are his NDA friends.

Kalyan expressed his satisfaction at BRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao’s (KCR ) announcement to launch his party’s base in Andhra Pradesh.

On June 1, the Telangana Police refused to grant permission for a Pawan Kalyan appointment to take place around on Tuesday.

The agreement was denied in order to maintain “law and order and common peace and tranquillity,” according to police.

In its decision to block the proposed meeting, the officers cited the alleged notes of a political scientist from Telangana about Pawan Kalyan and the subsequently registration of legal cases against him in Andhra Pradesh, which allegedly led to an escalating “tensions and animosities” generated across Telangana, as one of the reasons for the refusal of the agreement.
