India and Pakistan are all set to renew their rivalry as the dates for the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 was officially revealed on Thursday, August 6. The arch-rivals will square off at the Dubai International Stadium on September 5.
India and Pakistan will be in Group A along with Thailand and Hong Kong China. Group B will feature Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, UAE and Indonesia. The tournament will start on August 28 with Thailand facing off against Hong Kong China. This will be the sixth edition of the tournament to be played in the T20I format.

India’s first match will be on August 30 against Thailand. All the matches will start at 6:30 pm local time and under the lights in Dubai. The semi-finals will be played on September 10 and 11 before the final on 13th.

INDIA VS PAKISTAN AT WOMEN’S ASIA CUP
India will be heading into this year’s edition, eyeing their 8th Women’s Asia Cup title. In the case of Pakistan, they have never won the title and lost to India in the final in 2012 and 2016.
When the tournament is played in the T20I format, Pakistan have only beaten India once, in 2022. During their recent match during the Women’s T20 World Cup this year, India crushed Pakistan by 64 runs during a group game to continue their winning momentum against the arch-rivals.
