An Indonesian Army recruit who stood alone during his training graduation ceremony broke down in tears after his commander noticed him and pulled him into a warm hug.
The emotional moment was shared on Instagram by user Edy Kartono, who showed the recruit standing among his fellow soldiers during the closing ceremony of the First TNI AD Education, which is a structured system of military schooling and training designed to transform Indonesian citizens into professional soldiers and leaders for the Indonesian Army.

In the video, the recruit appeared to be standing by himself as other soldiers around him reunited with their families and friends. While the ceremony continued and people gathered around the recruits, he remained alone, quietly watching the celebrations around him.
The commander eventually noticed him and walked over from behind. Without saying much, he wrapped his arms around the young recruit in a tight embrace.
The gesture appeared to catch the recruit off guard. He immediately broke down in tears, holding on to the commander as he struggled to contain his emotions. The commander continued to comfort him, turning what could have been an otherwise ordinary moment at the ceremony into an unexpectedly emotional one.
