The iPhone 17 Pro Max is already available at a sizeable discount on Flipkart, even before the platform’s Freedom Sale officially begins. While the Independence Day sale is set to open for all customers on August 8, Flipkart has quietly rolled out a deal on its mobile app that brings the effective price of Apple’s flagship down by Rs 16,000. What is even more interesting is that Flipkart has already revealed the iPhone 17 Pro Max offer for the Freedom Sale, and buyers who can take advantage of all the available benefits will end up paying even less than the current price.

Ahead of the Freedom Sale, the iPhone 17 Pro Max is listed on the Flipkart app at Rs 1,41,900, down from its launch price of Rs 1,49,900. This is a direct discount of Rs 8,000. On top of that, buyers using eligible SBI Bank cards can claim an additional instant discount of Rs 8,000. This reduces the effective price to Rs 1,33,900, resulting in a total saving of Rs 16,000. While this is already one of the biggest discounts available on Apple’s latest premium iPhone, waiting for the Freedom Sale could prove to be even more rewarding.
Freedom Sale offer brings price down further
According to Flipkart’s sale teaser, the iPhone 17 Pro Max will continue to receive the same Rs 8,000 instant price cut during the Freedom Sale, taking the listed price to Rs 1,41,900. Eligible SBI Bank credit card holders and Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card users will then be able to claim an additional Rs 5,000 instant discount, reducing the effective purchase price to Rs 1,36,900. The savings don’t end there. Flipkart is also offering 5 percent cashback on eligible transactions. Based on the discounted amount, that cashback works out to roughly Rs 4,000. After including this benefit, the effective price comes down to around Rs 1,32,900.
This means buyers who are eligible for every offer can save close to Rs 17,000 in total through a combination of direct discounts, bank offers and cashback. Interestingly, that effective price is even lower than the launch price of the iPhone 17 Pro, which starts at Rs 1,34,900.
Flipkart has also confirmed that the iPhone 17 Pro will receive a similar overall benefit of around Rs 17,000 during the sale, although its final effective price will still be higher than the Pro Max deal.
The Freedom Sale will also include discounts on older iPhone models. The iPhone 15 is set to be available at an effective price of Rs 55,900, down from its current retail price of Rs 59,900. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Plus will drop from Rs 79,900 to an effective price of Rs 75,900.
As for the rest of Apple’s lineup, Flipkart has not yet officially announced offers on the standard iPhone 17, iPhone 17e, iPhone 16 or iPhone 13. However, earlier teaser pages hinted that the regular iPhone 17 could be available for under Rs 80,000, suggesting more offers may be revealed before the sale goes live.
The Flipkart Freedom Sale opens with early access for Plus and Black members on August 7, while all customers will be able to shop from August 8. Buyers should note that the final amount they pay will depend on the payment method used, card eligibility and successful cashback claims.
