Jessica Alba’s “heart ached with pride” watching daughter Honor graduate from high school on Thursday.
The actress took to her Instagram page to share a series of pictures of the special day, kicking off with one of her planting a kiss on the cheek of her smiling teenager.
Alongside the images, Jessica wrote: “My baby girl graduated yesterday and my heart aches with pride.
“To my Honorcita – It feels like yesterday I was holding you in my arms, and in the blink of an eye, you’re standing here ready for your next chapter. When I close my eyes, I can still see the little girl who wanted one more bedtime song, one more story, and endless cuddles. And now, you’re graduating.”
Jessica went on to state the things she’s “always admired” about her daughter, including that she’s “never followed the crowd, never settled for who others expected you to be, and never stopped chasing what felt true to you”.
She continued: “You move through the world with conviction, curiosity, kindness, and a courage that inspires everyone around you.
“Watching you grow into the young woman you are today has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. To say I’m proud of you is an understatement.”
Jessica concluded the heartfelt post by saying that “time is fleeting” and “time is sacred”, adding: “Every moment of being your mom has been one of the greatest gifts of my life. Congratulations, baby girl. I love you forever and always.”
Jessica’s ex Cash Warren – Honor’s dad – also took to his social media to share his pride over his daughter’s achievement.
He wrote: “You have officially outgrown the high school pond, and you’re ready to swim in deeper waters. I can’t think of anyone more prepared for this next phase of life than you.
“Every single day, you put in the work needed to accomplish your goals. You took no days off. Yes, you have the ability to manifest, but you also understand that effort determines results. That combination is rare. You are one of one.”
Honor – Jessica and Cash’s eldest child – will next be heading to Yale University.
