Jesy Nelson is reportedly dating the former boyfriend of The Only Way Is Essex star Lydia Bright.
The former Little Mix singer, 35, singer offered the strongest hint yet of a new romance over the weekend when she shared a photograph from a rooftop dinner date, showing only the tattooed arm of a mystery man at the edge of the frame.
The Daily Mail has now reported the man is understood to be Essex landscape gardener Ben Davies, who previously dated Lydia for around a year during 2024.
The pair are reported to have started following one another on Instagram in recent weeks before Jesy posted the image to her Instagram Stories on Sunday (02.08.26), showing drinks on the table in a rooftop garden setting.
The apparent new relationship comes months after Jesy split from musician Zion Foster, the father of her twin daughters, Ocean Jade and Story Monroe, following an extraordinarily difficult period for the family after the girls were diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) Type 1.
The diagnosis and its aftermath were documented in the recent Amazon Prime series Jesy Nelson: Life Changing.
Jesy, who rose to fame as a member of Little Mix before launching a solo career, has remained focused on raising her daughters since the separation.
Ben was previously in a relationship with Lydia, one of the original stars of The Only Way Is Essex.
During their romance, Lydia shared a series of photographs of the couple together on social media. Their relationship was first reported after they attended one of Lydia’s former partner James Argent’s music performances together in April 2024.
By January 2025, however, Lydia confirmed she was single following the end of the relationship.
The latest sighting comes after Jesy also hinted at a new romance in April, although it has not been confirmed whether the man pictured at that time was Ben.
Jesy’s personal life has been under renewed public attention following the release of Jesy Nelson: Life Changing, which documented the weeks surrounding her daughters’ diagnosis with SMA Type 1.
In one episode, Zion said: “I’m not equipped to deal with this. I’m out of my depth; emotionally, physically and mentally.
“At the moment I’m surviving. I just need to get help.”
Jesy said: “I can tell he’s really struggling. For a 26-year-old to have to now be put in this situation… I feel like I can see his life flashing before his eyes.”
The couple announced their split later that month.
Speaking in the documentary, Jesy said: “It’s hard. It’s just me and mum now.”
She also said: “I think we’re both thinking, ‘How the f*** are we going to do this?’ And we will because we have to. We don’t have a choice. It’s really f****** hard.”
The documentary prompted criticism of Zion on social media, leading him to respond in a statement shared on Instagram Stories.
He wrote: “When I said I was ‘out of my depth’, I wasn’t saying I was walking away from my children or abandoning my responsibilities as a father.
“I was talking about the overwhelming reality of suddenly facing a rare and complex medical diagnosis that I knew nothing about.
“Being out of my depth meant I was learning. It meant I was trying to understand. It never meant I didn’t love my daughters or that I wasn’t going to be there for them.
“Please don’t mistake vulnerability for abandonment.”
He added: “I love my girls more than words could ever express. They are my world and always will be.”
On the same day, Zion shared a video of himself recording a new song centred around the lyric “Out of my depth”.
He also addressed Jesy’s revelation in the documentary she had ended their relationship.
Zion wrote: “Although I respect that, it does not change the fact that I remain committed to my daughters in every way I possibly can.
“This journey has been heartbreaking for all of us. Nobody prepares you for news like this, and we’re all navigating it in our own way.”
In the series, Jesy described the couple’s separation as “inevitable”.
She said: “It’s a very traumatic thing that we’ve both been through. I think it’s quite inevitable for things like this to happen to couples.
“I don’t think it’s a shock that we’ve broken up. You’ll either be a team or it’ll tear you apart and unfortunately I feel that’s what it’s done to me and Zion.”
Jesy added there was “no bad feeling” between them but said her “main priority” was their daughters.
She continued: “I just want to be the best mum with the best energy and positivity possible.
“The house was not like that when we were together. We’re both dealing with this situation completely differently, and together we were clashing.”
