Jules Neale says she has been “overwhelmed” by the Australian public’s support following her high-profile breakup from Brisbane Lions player Lachie Neale and her move back to Perth.
The 36-year-old hairdresser and influencer has revealed an outpouring of support from her more than 160,000 social media followers across Instagram and TikTok has “meant so much to me”.
“Honestly, it’s been really overwhelming in the best way,” she told news.com.au.
“I think when you share parts of your life online, especially during harder seasons, you never really know how people are going to respond.
“A lot of the messages are from mums or women who have gone through their own big life changes, and I think there’s something really comforting about people connecting through shared experiences. I definitely don’t take that support for granted.”
Neale’s life was thrown into turmoil after she revealed her relationship breakdown at the end of the last year, which she described as an “unimaginable betrayal”.
Lachie has been accused of having an affair with Neale’s best friend Tess Crosley and while he hasn’t addressed the situation directly, he admitted he let his family down and stepped down as the Lions captain.
Neale packed up her life in Brisbane and made the move back to her home state of WA with her two young kids, where she has been living with her parents.
She has been embracing her newfound Perth lifestyle and wasted no time immersing herself in the city’s fashion and social scene as a content creator.
“I’ve really loved the creativity of it (becoming a content creator),” she told news.com.au.
“I’ve always enjoyed beauty, fashion and creating content, but being able to turn that into a career is so fun.
“I also love that it gives me flexibility around the kids. Being a mum will always come first for me, so having work that allows me to balance both has been amazing and I think because I only work with brands I genuinely enjoy, like my recent partnership with Shark Beauty, everything feels very authentic to who I am.”
Neale also recently announced her return to hairdressing with her services among the most elite in Perth — charging $560 for a full head of foils and $160 for a women’s haircut.
She will start working out of Studio C Artistry in Mt Pleasant this month.

While she gets stuck back in doing what she loves, Neale is preparing to enter her “next chapter” by looking for a new home in Perth.
“We are also house hunting at the moment so really excited to start our next chapter in a new home,” she told the publication.
“Professionally, I’m excited to keep growing creatively and continue building my platforms in a way that feels genuine and long-term.
“Overall, I think I’m just entering a chapter where I’m a lot more confident in myself and the direction I want my life to go in.”
Neale has just returned from an idyllic sunny holiday in the Maldives which she plastered across her Instagram, sharing multiple photos and videos of her enjoying the island paradise.
