Kelsey Parker believes her late husband Tom Parker is connecting with her and their children through their kitchen clock.
The 36-year-old made the remark as she opened up about how she is coping with his death four years after the Wanted singer passed away from brain cancer at the age of 33 – and after her recent pregnancy with partner Will Lindsay.
Kelsey, who had daughter Aurelia, four, and son Bodhi, three, with Tom, said on the No Parental Guidance podcast: “Tom connects to us through our clock in the kitchen. The clock just starts spinning. People will be like, ‘It’s just the batteries’. “But you don’t understand.
“We were reading Aurelia’s school report and the clock started spinning. It’s like here’s there saying, ‘I’m with you, I’m here’. I can just feel Tom with me, anyway.
“What really got me was we said that Will’s here looking after Tom’s kids and Tom’s there looking after Will’s child.”
Kelsey also spoke about a visit to a medium, which she said brought her comfort following the loss of both Tom and Phoenix.
She said: “A medium told me, ‘Tom’s there, he’s holding a baby and he’s waving’.
“With his illness, he lost the movement in one of his arms so he’s showing me, ‘I’ve got the movement back, I’m all good. And I’ve got Phoenix, you’ve got nothing to worry about’.”
Television personality and campaigner Kelsey announced earlier this year she and Will are expecting a baby, describing the child as a “rainbow baby” following the stillbirth of her son Phoenix in 2024.
Since Tom’s death in March 2022, Kelsey has frequently spoken about navigating life as a widow and raising their children while keeping his memory alive.
Tom rose to fame as a member of chart-topping boyband The Wanted, known for hits including Glad You Came and All Time Low.
He publicly documented his diagnosis with an inoperable brain tumour in 2020 and became an advocate for greater awareness and funding for brain cancer research during the final years of his life.
His death prompted tributes from across the music industry, including his bandmates in The Wanted, while Kelsey has continued to support charitable initiatives in his memory and has spoken openly about bereavement through television appearances, interviews and her podcast projects.
During her podcast appearance, Kelsey also recalled the circumstances surrounding Phoenix’s stillbirth, revealing she sensed something was wrong before giving birth.
She said: “I went into natural labour with Phoenix, I was at a kid’s birthday party, I was 39 weeks (pregnant.)
“When I got home I called my mum but before I knew it, Phoenix was there… I knew that it was too late. My body did what it was naturally meant to do. I intuitively knew it wasn’t ok.”
Last month, Kelsey announced she was expecting another child with Will through an emotional social media post featuring a video of a baby scan.
In the caption, she wrote: “A year ago next month, we lost our beautiful baby boy, Phoenix.
“And somehow, through all the heartbreak, it feels like Tom and Phoenix have sent us another little gift from heaven our little rainbow baby.”
