Kylie Minogue has revealed her favourite fellow Australian to get drunk with following a fun night out in Los Angeles 10 years ago.

The 58-year-old pop princess, who has just celebrated her 2001 hit Can’t Get You Out Of My Head reaching one billion streams, detailed her wild night out in an interview with Vogue Australia.

Her friends and family submitted questions for Minogue to answer, and Aussie actress Margot Robbie asked her: “Who would you say is the funniest Aussie you’ve ever gotten pissed with?”

To which Minogue replied was, in fact, the Barbie star herself.

“The first time I met Margot we definitely had a few drinks,” she said, adding that they met up at LA celebrity hangout Chateau Marmont in 2016.

“I’d seen her there a couple of days earlier having a meeting. You always assume people are with someone, but I thought, ‘Maybe she’s not.’ So I reached out and said, ‘Hey, there’s another Aussie in town. Fancy meeting up?’

“This was pre-Barbie, maybe around 2016. She later told me she’d assumed I was inviting her to do some charity event or work thing. But it wasn’t. It was literally just, ‘Hey, we’re both Aussies in LA.’

“So we had a … well … I don’t know if we got fully pissed, but we definitely had enough to take the edge off. It’s actually been a long time since I’ve really been drunk. That feels like a younger person’s game now.

Minogue also revealed a time she went out on the town with the Edgerton siblings.

“Joel Edgerton is hilarious,” she said.

“When he’s funny, there’s nothing funnier. Way, way back around the time I met Joel and Nash, we all drank a bit more and got up to plenty of mischief.”

It comes as Minogue celebrated the timeless success of the 2001 hit by sharing a series of throwback images on social media of her memorable outfits from the song’s video.

“Thank you to everyone all around the world who has streamed and sang and danced and loved!!!! Way before streaming, here I am doing wardrobe and glam tests in preparation for the video. Someone tell her she’s hit a BILLION,” she captioned the post.

The pop classic featured on Kylie’s eighth album titled Fever, which hit the top spot on the charts in 40 countries.

At 58, Kylie is the oldest of the Aussies in the female billions club, which includes Tones and I, Sia and Natalie Imbruglia.

Tones and I’s global smash Dance Monkey has commanded the most streams with more than three billion, while Imbruglia sneaks in with her 1997 single Torn.

While Sia’s top-streamed song Chandelier has more than a billion hits less than Dance Monkey, she boasts six songs above the billion stream mark.

Taylor Swift holds the record for the most billion-stream songs on the platform for a female artist with 28, pipping Rihanna and Ariana Grande.

Billie Eilish takes out top spot when it comes to streams for a single song by a female artist with Birds Of A Feather getting nearly four billion listens. The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights has the most overall, at more than 5 billion streams.
