One of the biggest bands on the planet has been locked in to headline the halftime show of the historic NFL clash in Melbourne next month, with the Jonas Brothers to bring their smash hits to the MCG.
Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas have dominated the billboards worldwide and will be streamed to millions of fans on Netflix when the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers clash on September 11.
They’ve sold more than 20 million albums and have a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
“We couldn’t be more excited to perform at halftime during the NFL’s first-ever regular season game in Australia,” the Jonas Brothers said.
“Playing at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of such passionate Australian fans is an incredible honour. We can’t wait to be part of this historic moment and celebrate with everyone in the stadium and watching around the world.”
This will be the first NFL regular season game played in Australia and is part of the competition’s commitment to growing the sport globally.
London, Madrid and Paris are just some of the cities that will host matches this season, with the NFL committed to ensuring fans are treated to the best entertainment on the field and during the main break.
“Bringing the first-ever NFL regular season game to Australia is a landmark moment for the league, and we are committed to creating an entertainment experience that reflects the scale and significance of the occasion,” NFL senior director of global game presentation and entertainment Tim Tubito said.
