A young West Australian landscaper has been remembered by relatives as somebody who was “always thinking of others” after he was struck by a car that lost control and ploughed into the garden of a home he had been working at late last month.
Kaine Fisher, 22, was working on a friend’s garden in Carramar, in Perth’s north, when he was struck by a white Toyota Corolla hatchback.
Posting on Mr Fisher’s gardening company Facebook page, his family said they were in a state of “unfathomable sadness”.
“Kaine was just 22 years old, living his best life, building his own landscaping business and, in true Kaine fashion, doing life entirely his own way,” the post reads.
“He was the truest definition of selfless – always giving, always helping and always thinking of others. He took an immense pride in his work and in helping others.
Customers, family and friends responded to the post with an outpouring of grief and sympathy, telling stories of Mr Fisher’s life.

One former customer, Melissa Phillipson, said Mr Fisher had taken on a job to set up an irrigation system for her garden “in the peak of summer”.
“It seems like yesterday he was out the front chatting away to me while he worked,” Ms Phillipson wrote.

“We rescued a baby bunny that fell into one of the retic trenches (which Mr Fisher had dug). It was really special.”
WA Police said the driver of the hatchback, a 74-year-old man, was assisting police with their inquiries.
No charges have been laid, and police continue to appeal to the public for dashcam, CCTV or mobile footage of the incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
