Lava, after introducing Virat V1 in both 4G and 5G last month, has launched its new Virat Curve 5G smartphone in India. It ships with a curved AMOLED display and a vegan leather finish. On the back, it has a rear mini screen and a 50-megapixel Sony camera. The smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart from 28 September in three colourways.

Virat Curve specs and feature
The Lava Virat Curve 5G features a 6.67-inch FHD+ 3D curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,100 nits of peak brightness. It also comes with 1920Hz PWM dimming, which is designed to make viewing more comfortable in low-light conditions.
The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor, an octa-core chipset with a clock speed of up to 2.4GHz. Built on a 6nm process, the processor is claimed to have scored over 800,000 points on AnTuTu. The device comes with 6GB LPDDR5 RAM.
For photography, the Virat Curve 5G features a 50-megapixel Sony IMX752 rear camera with electronic image stabilisation (EIS) and support for 2K video recording. The camera comes with features such as Night Mode, Pro Video, Dual-View Video, Motion Photo and Sports Mode. On the front, the smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera with screen flash for selfies and video calls.
The device packs a 6,000mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. Lava claims that the battery can deliver up to 55 hours of talk time, 11 hours of continuous YouTube playback and up to 720 hours of standby time. A 33W charger is included in the box.
One of the key highlights of the Virat Curve is its rear mini screen. The small display lets users check notifications, set custom texts and emojis, and view information such as the time, battery percentage, charging status and volume without unlocking the phone.
It weighs 184g and comes with IronGuard Protection, Al-Si DT Star 2 cover glass and MIL-STD-810H military-grade certification. It also has an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance.
On the software front, the Virat Curve 5G runs Android 16 with no pre-installed bloatware or advertisements, according to Lava. The company promises two years of OS upgrades and three years of security updates. The phone also features Vayu AI, an in-display fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock, an IR blaster and dual stereo speakers with dual-mic noise cancellation.
Lava’s new user interface will make its debut on the Virat Curve 5G through an upcoming software update, alongside a refined Vayu AI experience and a native Gallery app.
Virat Curve price and availability
The Lava Virat Curve 5G has been launched in India in a single 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It is priced at Rs 23,999, but buyers can get it at a special launch price of Rs 19,999, inclusive of all bank offers.
The smartphone will go on sale on Flipkart starting September 28, 2026. It ships with a vegan leather finish and will be available in three colour options: Heritage Indigo, Makrana Ivory and Ellora Slate.
