The daughter of Australian model Lindy Klim says she is “still processing” the terrifying experience of falling off a motorbike in Bali after suffering an epileptic seizure.
Stella Klim, who recently revealed her epilepsy diagnosis, was riding a motorbike on the Indonesian island on Sunday when she suffered the seizure, causing her to fall off the vehicle and land on the side of the road.
While she escaped serious injuries, the 19-year-old Melbourne-based model was badly cut up from the gravel road.
As Stella started her recovery, she took to Instagram on Monday to thank her 26,000 followers for all their love, messages and support.
She described the crash as a “scary experience” that had taken a mental toll and that she was “still processing it all”.
“I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all the love, messages and support over the last couple of days,” she wrote.
“I can genuinely feel it all, and it means more to me than you know.
“Having a seizure on the back of a motorbike and then waking up after a crash caused by the seizure was such a scary experience, and I’m still processing it all.
“The mental strain that comes with something like this is honestly just as big as the physical recovery, so having so much love and support around me right now means absolutely everything.
“I’m taking it very easy, resting and focusing on getting better, and I’m really hoping for a speedy recovery.
“Thank you for being so kind to me and checking in. I’m so, so grateful.”
Her mother revealed the traumatic incident on her Instagram and described it as the “scariest few minutes of my life”.
Lindy also shared photos of Stella’s injuries, saying she “came off pretty banged up” and had “gravel rash everywhere”.
“But she’s okay, and it could’ve been so much worse. So grateful,” she wrote.
Lindy said she was two minutes behind her daughter, who was wearing a helmet, when she found her on the road after the seizure.
After Stella had been patched up by doctors, she shared a video of her mum dancing in an attempt to make her feel better and managed to enjoy a stunning sunset with her family.
It comes after Stella revealed her revealed her epilepsy diagnosis in an eight minute TikTok video last Wednesday.
She spoke about living with epilepsy and the fear that she had experienced due to her seizures, her last one being two months ago.
Stella is also the daughter of Australian Olympic swimmer Michael Klim who Lindy was married to for 10 years before their divorce in 2016.
In August 2018, Lindy married British property developer Adam Ellis.
The Klims had lived in Bali with Ellis for the past 14 years before relocating to Melbourne in 2025 after Lindy split from Ellis.
