Evans goals after 50m penalty as tempers flare
There’s a bit of feeling in this one, and it’s no surprise that Mason Cox is in the middle of it!
Frankie Evans takes a mark right on the 50m arc and is needlessly dragged to ground by Bailey Banfield, and wins a 50m penalty making the goal a certainty.
As Evans hammers through the goal, the big goggled American is sparing in the background. Absolute scenes, the kids say.
The Blues have almost wiped out the entirety of Freo’s 23-point lead, incredible comeback!
Evans and Brayshaw exchange quick goals!
It is literally end-to-end stuff at Docklands Stadium here!
Andy Brayshaw drills at set shot at one end after some excellent Freo pressure forces the turnover in the middle of the ground, and then the Blues stream out of another centre bounce and Frankie Evans dribbles one home.
I do not have enough hands to keep up with all the action right now.

Ainsworth makes it two straight to the Blues
Carlton is getting itself back into this contest!
A lovely combination between Adam Cerra and Sam Walsh in the middle of the ground, and Walsh finds Ben Ainsworth 45m out from goal.
Ainsworth makes no mistake on the set shot to trim the margin to nine points.
The Blues midfield well on top right now, they lead the centre clearance count 5-2.
Jagga Smith leads all players with eight disposals.
McKay stems the tide for the Blues
Carlton finally gets on the board!
Mitch McGovern takes a mark on the 50m arc and sends it deep where Harry McKay takes an excellent mark. He judged the drop of the ball perfectly there.
McKay is only a couple of metres out and he snaps truly.
The positive for the Blues are they’re on top in clearances in the early minutes.
Big man Marc Pittonet already up to a game-high four takeaways.
Voss continues the Fremantle onslaught!
Four inside 50s for four goals and I literally cannot type fast enough!
The Dockers stream out of the centre bounce, and it’s via big Mason Cox this time, as he sends the ball inside 50 and a leading Pat Voss takes the mark.
Voss nails the set shot from directly in front to put the Dockers out to an early 23-point lead.
Treacy makes it three straight for Freo!
Freo with a great goal out of a forward 50 stoppage!
Caleb Serong with a really intelligent kick from the pocket as he centred the ball and Josh Treacy meets it like a runaway train and picks it up on the half-volley before hammering it home.
Three inside 50 entries for three Freo goals.
A note regarding Sydney
As the weekend of footy continues, we’d just like to advise that while we will post stories in the blog relating to updates on the Sydney Swans and the ongoing investigation, we will not be posting any comments relating to the team or the situation.
Bolton makes it two goals in two minutes
Shai Bolton unloads a wonderful set shot from right on the 50m arc and the Dockers are out to an early 12-point lead!
The Blues have been getting the jump on teams since Fraser took over, but the Dockers are showing they’re not just any other team.
Freo has two goals from two inside 50 entries.
McDonald gets the Dockers up and running early
They’re just a well-oiled machine this Freo side!
Oscar McDonald is in the Jye Amiss spot with Amiss rested this afternoon, and he leads out just like dead-eye Jye and takes a mark 25m out from goal.
McDonald makes no mistake on the set shot.
The ladder leaders are off and running.
