Live: Knights out to continue top four hunt against Manly

Geez, bit happening in that half! The Young sin bin has turned the game on it’s head with Manly scoring two tries in a matter of moments.

Koula shakes past Young and he’s in the clear, Ponga slows him down then Young comes again to hit him hard and force the error. Nice effort from the Englishman.

Hopoate gets Ponga high and the Knights will have a chance at more points.

They look likely only for Fogarty to force an error out of Ponga with some aggressive defence.

Newcastle make a break down the right through Young and swing it back left, Best loses it but the ref pings Brown for a strip. Manly challenge but don’t get it, rough call on the Sea Eagles.

They run a nice shape down their right, Ponga puts Young one-on-one with Trbojevic and he brings him down, Young tries to flip it inside to Ponga but he loses it.

Good defence from Manly.

The five-eighth copped a high shot from McEwan a set back and is now off for an HIA. Jake Simpkin comes on with Brandon Wakeham moving to the halves.

Hunt has the chance to put Young away but the pass is slightly behind him and the winger knocks it on.

Fogarty forces a repeat set with a well-aimed bomb as Manly build pressure.

Knights go short and not only get it back, they get a penalty after Hopoate loses it and Wakeham picks it up from an offside position.

The Knights are about to run out now and there’s a big crowd in the Hunter – it’s Old Boy’s Day and a heap of Newcastle legends are forming a tunnel for the home side. 

Just the one change from the sides named on Tuesday – on return from a hamstring injury, Jacob Saifiti has been benched for Cody Hopwood for the Knights.
