Local Bunnings stores will be blooming with daffodils this weekend to raise money for critical cancer research.
For the 40th anniversary of Australia’s Daffodil Day, the Melville and Cockburn Bunnings stores will be working alongside the Cancer Council WA to fundraise.
Market stalls will be set up in stores from Friday to Sunday. They will sell daffodils for $12 per bunch, daffodil vases for $15 and daffodil pins for $5, as well as dog leads for $20 and crew socks for $15.
The Cancer Council’s iconic Dougal Bears will be available for $20.
All funds will go towards the charity’s ambitious $5.5 million target to boost research and support services.
“Daffodil Day is Cancer Council’s most iconic and much-loved fundraising campaign, and 2026 marks the 40th year of Daffodil Day in Australia,” Cancer Council WA engagement manager Kelly Langley said.
“With fundraising under pressure, it is more important than ever to ensure we support the work of our cancer researchers and support services, so we are grateful to have Bunnings on board again in 2026.
“By supporting Daffodil Day, you will help us invest in cutting-edge, life-changing research and support services to give Australians hope for a cancer free future.”
Daffodil Day symbolises hope and community for people who have faced cancer head-on and those who are still fighting.
Bunnings Melville will open its stall on Friday from 11:30am to 3pm, Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9:30am to 1pm. Bunnings Cockburn will open on Saturday from 9am to 4pm and Sunday 9:30am to 1pm.
