Shocking police footage has captured the alleged moment a man in a stolen car speeds through oncoming traffic during a 30km chase through Perth.

Detectives charged Koondoola man Quan Jordan Vo, 33, with 26 offences following a wild police chase that spanned more than 30kms across the metro area.

Police allegedly spotted Mr Vo driving erratically on the Great Eastern Highway at Midland, in Perth’s east, about 10.10am on Thursday.

Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens, but Mr Vo allegedly sped off.

Police allege he drove at high speed through multiple suburbs, failed to stop at red traffic lights and repeatedly drove on the wrong side of the road putting other road users and pedestrians at risk.

Mr Vo allegedly did not stop when he crashed into two cars and an unmarked police car during the incident.

The police helicopter followed the Subaru through Perth’s north before the car’s occupants – including Mr Vo – allegedly abandoned the car and fled on foot along Hepburn Ave in Kingsley.

Police found Mr Vo a short distance away and he was taken into custody.
