An out-of-control party of more than 200 people south-east of Brisbane has required police helicopters to shut it down after people began throwing glass bottles at police officers.

A large disturbance was reported to police at a residence near Ney Road and Wildflower Street in Capalaba about 10.15pm on Saturday.

Police officers called in Polair to assist them after being met by people throwing bottles at them upon arrival. They eventually gained entry to the residence, while a number of people fled the area.

A 16-year-old girl who had collapsed was taken by paramedics to Redland Hospital.

A 43-year-old Birkdale man was also found unresponsive in the area, and is believed to have suffered a medical episode. Paramedics performed CPR on the man before taking him in a critical condition to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Paramedics also assessed two stable patients who left in the care of a relative, and a third who was assessed in a stable condition and declined transport to hospital.

A 17-year-old boy from Thornlands was arrested and charged with assaulting police and other street offences. He is scheduled to appear before Cleveland Children’s Court on October 16.

Police have urged anyone with relevant information about the incident, including CCTV, home security footage, or dashcam footage from the surrounding area, to come forward.
