The Sydney Harbour Bridge tunnel has reopened after a multi-car crash completely shut down its southbound lanes, causing massive travel delays.
Road traffic in a southerly direction is being funnelled over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, with significant delays expected.
An Ambulance NSW spokeswoman said the incident was caused by a man in his 50s experiencing a medical episode.
Paramedics and an ambulance motorcycle were able to respond to the incident and treat the man at the scene.
The man has since been taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment.
No other individuals have been injured.
The tunnel has since reopened.
Transport NSW has urged drivers in the area to “allow plenty of extra travel time, as traffic is very heavy”.
