Mayor elections in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Kota have been postponed after EVM glitches left results pending at several booths, the Rajasthan State Election Commission said.
Repolling will be held at 10 affected booths on September 16, followed by counting on September 17. Elections for mayor and deputy mayor in the three municipal corporations will be scheduled after the pending results are declared.

The election of the chairperson and vice-chairperson of Suket municipality has also been deferred.
In Kota, technical problems prevented officials from retrieving votes from EVMs used in Wards 11, 44 and 87, leaving the results undeclared.
Results have been announced in 97 of the corporation’s 100 wards. The BJP has won 55, the Congress 38 and Independents four.
The faulty EVMs have been secured in the treasury pending directions from the State Election Commission.
The pending contests are between the BJP’s Pushpa Choudhary and the Congress’s Lakshmi in Ward 87, the Congress’s Kamlesh Kumari and the BJP’s Suman Nayak in Ward 11, and the Congress’s Anoop Kumar Annu and the BJP’s Prem Singh Gaur in Ward 44.
An EVM malfunction was also reported in Ward 20, but officials later rectified the problem and completed the count. Congress candidate Ashok Meghwal defeated the BJP’s Dinesh Kumar by 180 votes.
The BJP is set to control the Kota Municipal Corporation after crossing the majority mark in the results declared so far.
Elections for chairpersons and vice-chairpersons in Rajasthan’s remaining 305 urban local bodies will proceed as scheduled on September 21 and 22.
