Mumbai: Rapper MC Stan aka Altaf Shaikh has surprised fans with his candid revelation about his spiritual journey on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent Season 2. The rapper, who shot to nationwide fame after winning Bigg Boss 16, spoke about how his mindset and lifestyle have changed over the years, revealing that he now focuses on doing what pleases his God.

“Waise pata hai, suddenly aap bahut change ho chuke ho. Like, 3 saal pehle tak aap alag the aur ab suddenly yeh nashe nahi karte hain, na hi gandi baatein karte hain zyada,” Samay remarked, adding that the rapper appeared to have moved towards a spiritual path.
Responding to the observation, MC Stan explained that his priorities had changed and that he was now trying to follow a path guided by his faith.
“Jo upar wale ko pasand hai, woh kar raha hoon abhi sirf main,” he said, explaining that he wanted to focus on doing what pleases God rather than simply following his own desires.

For the unversed, MC Stan, whose real name is Altaf Shaikh, became a household name after winning Bigg Boss 16. In April 2024, he also sparked speculation about his musical future after sharing a cryptic Instagram story that read, “Mein rap chodhne wala hoon.” The post was later deleted, and he has continued to make appearances in music and entertainment.
The rapper has also spoken about his faith and his personal priorities over time. Reports have circulated about him fulfilling his wish to take his mother on the Haj pilgrimage, although the claims have not been confirmed.
