Melissa George has become a mum for the fourth time.
The Australian actress, most famous for her roles in the 2001 film Mulholland Drive and TV shows Hunted and Alias, shared the happy news with fans by posting a picture of herself breastfeeding a young baby on her Instagram page.
It was a joint post with Kirstie Clements, with the former Vogue Australia editor sharing a series of photos of the screen star on their French road trip, writing alongside the snaps:“@melissageorgeofficial From the maternity ward, straight into a Parisian heatwave (with a toddler…challenging) and now to an epic road trip through Provence and the Cǒte d’Azur.
“First stop @hotelcrillonlebrave.”
She added hashtags including “#superwoman” and “#motheroffoursons”.
Melissa also updated her Instagram profile to state that she’s a “mum of four sons”.
The screen star is also mum to Raphael, 12 and Solal, 10, with ex Jean David Blanc, as well as two-year-old son Lyor from another relationship.
Announcing Lyor’s birth on Instagram back in March 2024, Melissa wrote at the time: “Welcome to the world my little man.
“Love knows no end. A mother of 3 sons. Cannot believe it. My heart is so full.”
The announcement comes after Melissa opened up to Stellar magazine about how she chooses not to “compete” with men in raising her kids.
She said: “I have to be honest, I’ve never been a real feminist. I don’t fight for it. I just stand as an elegant woman, and that speaks enough.
“What, am I gonna compete with a male? Men are fantastic. Go ahead, do your man thing. I’ll do my woman thing.
“I don’t compete, I just act with love. I want [my sons] to have good memories of a female figure in their life. I want them to have tummies full with the best food.
“I want them to respect women, of course, but respect men, too.”
Melissa has raised her children in France, due to custody laws which have meant her two older sons have to stay in the country.
As well as dating Blanc from 2012 to 2016, Melissa has previously been married – to Chilean film director Claudio Dabed from 2000 to 2011.
