Mirzapur: The Movie is gaining momentum at the box office. After opening with Rs 25.75 crore on Day 1, the Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu-starrer recorded a strong 20.4 per cent jump in collections on its second day. The film earned an estimated Rs 31 crore nett in India on Saturday, taking its two-day total to Rs 56.75 crore, according to trade website Sacnilk.

The movie recorded Rs 31 crore in India nett on Day 2 across 11,256 shows. With this, the film has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in just two days of its theatrical run. Its India gross collection currently stands at Rs 68.20 crore.
The film also continued its run overseas, where it collected Rs 6 crore on Day 2. Its total overseas gross now stands at Rs 10.25 crore, taking the film’s worldwide gross collection to Rs 78.45 crore.
The Gurmeet Singh directorial has opened to positive reviews, which appears to be translating into strong footfall at the theatres. The film is currently competing with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown Ups and Hanuman Ansh, which has been gaining momentum at the box office. Arshad Warsi’s Jeevan Bheema Yojana is also competing for screen space.
The big-screen adaptation brings the much-loved Mirzapur universe to theatres with a few changes to its ensemble. Jitendra Kumar steps into the role of Bablu Pandit, originally played by Vikrant Massey, while Ravi Kishan joins the cast.
Several familiar faces, however, return to reprise their popular characters. Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu return as Kaleen Bhaiya, Guddu Pandit and Munna Tripathi, respectively, while Abhishek Banerjee, Rasika Dugal, Sheeba Chadha, Rajesh Tailang, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Harshita Shekhar Gaur and Shweta Tripathi also reprise their roles.
Mirzapur: The Movie released in cinemas on September 4, 2026.
