Mirzapur: The Movie continues its strong run at the box office and is now inching closer to the coveted Rs 200-crore mark worldwide. Despite being an adaptation of a popular web series, the Gurmeet Singh directorial has managed to strike a chord with both audiences and critics. Headlined by Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu and Ravi Kishan, the film has maintained its momentum through its first week and is now eyeing the Rs 200-crore club.

The big-screen adaptation of the popular Mirzapur web series opened to an impressive Rs 25.75 crore on Day 1 and went on to enjoy a strong first weekend. As it approaches the end of its first week, the film continues to add to its impressive tally.
According to the latest trade website Sacnilk report, Mirzapur: The Movie has collected Rs 12.30 crore nett on Day 6 across 10,705 shows. With this, its total India nett collection has reached Rs 137.65 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 164.43 crore so far.
The film also continued its strong performance overseas, collecting Rs 2 crore on Day 6. Its total overseas gross now stands at Rs 29 crore, taking its worldwide gross collection to Rs 193.43 crore. With the film just around Rs 6.5 crore away from the Rs 200 crore mark, Mirzapur: The Movie is expected to enter the Rs 200 crore club soon, marking another major milestone in its theatrical run.
At the box office, the Pankaj Tripathi-led film continues to compete with Yash’s Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups and Hanuman Ansh, both of which are also drawing audiences to theatres. It is also sharing screens with Arshad Warsi’s Jeevan Bheema Yojana.
The film version of the popular show also comes with a few casting changes. Jitendra Kumar plays Bablu Pandit, a character earlier portrayed by Vikrant Massey in the series, while Ravi Kishan joins the franchise as a new addition to the cast.
The film released in theatres on September 4.
