Television actor Vijayendra Kumeria, known for shows like Naagin 4, Shastri Sisters, and more, broke his silence on his marriage to Preeti Bhatia, confirming that the two have been divorced since 2025. The actor revealed that they had been living separately since 2022 and said he chose to stay quiet about the split for several years as he needed time to process the changes in his personal life.

Vijayendra and Preeti got married in January 2012 and welcomed their daughter, Kimaya, in October 2016. In a recent interview with Telly Talk India, the actor opened up about the end of his marriage and explained why he had previously refrained from addressing the speculation surrounding their relationship.
Vijayendra said he is a private person and needed time to come to terms with what had happened before discussing it publicly. However, as the years passed, he felt it was better to address the matter himself rather than allow people to draw their own conclusions.
The actor clarified that the decision to separate was not taken suddenly. According to him, differences and compatibility issues had been building up over time, despite attempts to work through them. “Such decisions are not taken overnight. We started having a lot of differences and compatibility issues, which escalated over time. It’s not that we didn’t try to resolve our issues, but eventually things didn’t work, and we separated in 2022. It was a mutual decision and we got the decree in 2025,” he said.
Vijayendra also spoke about how their daughter influenced their decision to continue trying to make the marriage work. He said Kimaya was a major reason why he and Preeti made efforts to save their relationship for several years before eventually deciding that separation was the healthier choice.
“I think it’s better for Kimaya as well to experience love from both parents separately instead of growing up in an unhappy environment. Like any parent, we want the best for her, and that’s what we are doing,” he added.
Vijayendra and Preeti have been co-parenting their daughter since their separation. By publicly confirming their divorce, the actor has now put an end to years of speculation surrounding their relationship.
Meanwhile, over the years, the actor has appeared in several popular television shows, including Shastri Sisters, Udaan, Naagin 4 and Teri Meri Doriyaann. He is currently seen as Inspector Sanyam Singh in Colors TV’s Juhi Mui, where he stars alongside Eisha Singh.
