Tollywood actor Nani is keeping The Paradise under wraps. Speaking at the film’s press meet held on Friday, the 42-year-old has confirmed that the much-awaited film will not have a theatrical trailer before its September 24 release. He also made it clear that the team does not want to label the film “pan-India”, despite releasing it in multiple languages, with Telugu remaining its “prime target”.

Speaking at the event, Nani explained why audiences will have to head to theatres without one final trailer. He said the team is focused on finishing the film and did not want to pull director Srikanth Odela, music composer Anirudh Ravichander and others away from that work simply to put together another promotional video.
“I think there won’t be a trailer for Paradise,” Nani said.
He admitted that he would have personally liked to cut a good trailer for the film. However, the team ultimately decided that completing the film was more important.
“If you ask whether the trailer or the movie is more important at this point… under unavoidable circumstances – even though I personally don’t like it and really want to cut a good trailer – the entire team collectively made a decision. There will be no trailer for Paradise,” he said.
More than just an action film
The decision to skip a trailer also means audiences will have less of the story revealed before release. And if the posters and teasers have made The Paradise look like a dark, violent action drama, Nani says there is much more going on beneath all that grit.
The actor plays Jadal, a man from an oppressed community who rises against a system that has denied his people basic rights for generations. Set in 1980s Secunderabad, the film follows their fight for justice, dignity and freedom.
At the centre of Jadal’s journey is his relationship with his mother, played by Sonali Kulkarni. Nani described the film as “a beautiful mother-son story”, as well as a “revolutionary emotional film”.
That emotional thread, he suggested, is just as important as the rebellion and violence surrounding Jadal. The film looks at his choices through the bond he shares with his mother, giving the story a more personal layer.
Nani doesn’t want the ‘pan-India’ tag
Despite the film being released in several languages, Nani was careful about calling The Paradise a pan-India film. For him, Telugu audiences remain the primary focus.
“We don’t want to call it a pan-India film. Along with Telugu, it will release in some other languages. Telugu is definitely our prime target, and I hope audiences in other languages also watch Paradise and enjoy it equally,” he said.
It is a slightly different approach at a time when films are often marketed around their pan-India appeal even before release. Nani, however, wants the film to first speak to its home audience while giving viewers elsewhere a chance to discover it in their own languages.

All about The Paradise
Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise marks his second collaboration with Nani after Dasara. The film has already created curiosity with its intense posters and teasers, which have offered glimpses of its gritty world without giving too much away.
Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead, while Raghav Juyal appears as the antagonist in his Telugu debut. The cast also includes Mohan Babu, Sonali Kulkarni and Sampoornesh Babu. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music.
Odela has revealed that the final cut has a runtime of 2 hours and 49 minutes.
The Paradise is scheduled to release worldwide on September 24, 2026, in Telugu and other dubbed languages.
