The CBI’s request for a further exploration in the NEET papers leak case was granted by a Delhi court on Friday, August 14.
The court was informed by the agency’s prosecutor that fresh digital evidence has been released, and that the Central Forensic Science Laboratory ( CFSL ) reports have revealed some important details, necessitating a thorough investigation of the case.
The attorney claimed that the CBI should look into the allegations made by individuals who are not currently on the list of accused and that the 13 accused have no standing to contest the program.
Ajay Gupta, the agency’s specific judge, gave permission for the agency to launch a second investigation.
Some defendants ‘ attorneys had opposed the appeal.
CBI claims to have “overwhelmingly incriminating substance.”
The court acknowledged the CBI’s charge sheet on August 12 by claiming that there is “overwhelming incriminating material” that suggests that the 13 accused, along with subject experts PV Kulkarni ( Chemistry ), Sanjay Havaldar ( Physics ), and Manisha Gurunath Mandhare ( Biology ), organized a syndicate to distribute the question paper for illegal monetary gain.
The NTA conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test ( Undergraduate ), or NEET-UG, for medical aspirants. Due to allegations of a document hole, the NTA cancelled the NEET-UG held on May 3 for admittance to health programs. On June 21, a second examination was conducted.
Following the demonstrations, Dharmendra Pradhan eventually resigned as minister of education over the papers leak controversy.
