Audi has showcased the third-generation Q3 in India ahead of its market launch, giving buyers their first physical look at the new compact luxury SUV. The new Q3 is scheduled to go on sale in India in early October.
The new-generation SUV has already made its global debut and will be locally assembled in India. It will continue to sit at the entry point of Audi’s SUV range in the country, taking on rivals such as the BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Audi Q3: Design and dimensions
The new Q3 gets a more angular and assertive design compared to the outgoing model. It measures 4,531mm long, 1,859mm wide and 1,623mm tall, while its 2,681mm wheelbase is longer than before. The increase in dimensions is expected to translate into a roomier cabin, while also giving the SUV a more substantial road presence.
At the front, the Q3 features split LED headlamps positioned around a larger Audi grille. The lower section gets a broad honeycomb-patterned air intake, complemented by a silver-finished skid plate that adds to the SUV’s rugged appearance.
The side profile features body-coloured cladding, dual-tone alloy wheels and roof rails. A prominent L-shaped chrome element runs along the beltline, while black trim connecting the rear windscreen and side glass gives the roof a floating appearance.
At the rear, the Q3 gets split LED tail lamps linked by a full-width light bar. The Audi logo is integrated into the lighting treatment and is illuminated. A roof spoiler, raked rear windscreen and sculpted bumper complete the design, with another silver skid plate positioned at the bottom.
Audi Q3: Interior and features
The biggest change comes inside, where the third-generation Q3 gets a substantially more contemporary cabin. The India-spec SUV displayed by Audi featured a black dashboard with beige upholstery and a layered dashboard layout.
The cabin gets a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and an 11.9-inch digital instrument cluster. A new four-spoke steering wheel with a rounded-square design replaces the more conventional unit seen in the previous Q3.
Audi has also revised the centre console. Physical controls for key functions sit below the touchscreen, while the centre tunnel houses a wireless charging pad, start/stop button, media control dial, electronic parking brake and cupholders.
Another notable change is the gear selector. Instead of a conventional selector on the centre console, Audi has moved the drive control to a stalk behind the steering wheel. The arrangement frees up space between the front seats, although the revised control layout could take some familiarisation.
Equipment on the new Q3 is expected to include a Sonos audio system, panoramic sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, paddle shifters, ambient lighting and a 360-degree camera.
The SUV offers 488 litres of boot space, providing a practical edge for everyday use.
Audi Q3: Engine and gearbox
The third-generation Q3 is expected to retain a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine for India. The unit is rated at 204bhp and 320Nm and is likely to be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Power is expected to be sent to all four wheels through Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system, which is likely to remain standard on the India-spec Q3.
The Q3 can accelerate from 0-100kph in a claimed 7.1 seconds and has a top speed of 229kph.
Audi Q3 India launch and expected price
Audi is expected to launch the new Q3 in India in early October 2026. The SUV will be locally assembled, helping Audi maintain a competitive position in the entry-level luxury SUV segment.
The new Q3 is expected to be priced at around Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom), although the final price will be announced closer to its launch.
