Actor Salman Khan addressed health concerns after a Bigg Boss 20 promo showed him appearing to have chest pain on stage. The promo, which showed the actor lying on stage, holding his chest and calling for a doctor, sparked concern among fans, with many sending their recovery wishes on social media. During the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, the 60-year-old actor was seen placing his hand on his chest while speaking to the contestants. The dramatic sequence was later used in a promo, leading viewers to believe that the actor was experiencing a genuine health scare. Addressing the concern on his Instagram Story, he clarified that he was perfectly fine and expressed disappointment with the way the promo had been edited.
Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God,” Salman wrote.
The Ek Tha Tiger actor went on to explain that the pain he portrayed was meant to make Qazi understand why using someone’s health as entertainment was inappropriate. Salman said the other contestants were unaware that he was acting and were genuinely worried about his well-being.
“It totally beats the purpose and looks like I am doing the same thing that kazi was doing in the house; the pain was only to show kazi that wat he did was wrong coz he used his health for entertainment, especially when the 15 people in the house were not aware that he was acting and were getting worried for his health (sic),” he wrote.
Salman further said that the original intent of the sequence was lost because of the way it was edited and presented as promotional material. He also apologised to viewers on behalf of the channel.
“Sorry about the way the promo was cut. Guess it’s the format that they use in promoting the shows. I apologise on their behalf (sic),” he wrote.
The makers have since released another promo featuring Salman confronting Qazi Touqeer over his actions in the Bigg Boss 20 house.
Meanwhile, during Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman was seen in a visibly angry mood as he called out online trolls for targeting actors, particularly female artistes over their appearance. He also addressed the speculation surrounding his own health and looks.
Responding to the constant comments about his bald look, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor removed his hat and T-shirt on stage, seemingly sending a message to trolls that he was unfazed by their remarks.
Bigg Boss 20 streams on JioHotstar and airs on ColorsTV.
