Flagships are great. After all, they offer the best smartphone experience money can buy. But not everyone wants to spend flagship money. That’s where Oppo’s Reno series fits in, offering flagship-inspired cameras, premium design and capable performance without the flagship price tag. Refreshing its Reno lineup, the company has launched the Reno 16 series in India, introducing the Reno 16 and Reno 16c.

Design and display:
The Reno 16 series introduces a beautiful design inspired by space. The phones also feature a one-piece cold-sculpted camera module and an aerospace-grade aluminium frame.
On the front, the Reno 16 sports a compact 6.32-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness. The Reno 16c, meanwhile, gets a larger 6.57-inch AMOLED panel with the same 120Hz refresh rate but a peak brightness of up to 1,400 nits. Both devices come with IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings for water and dust resistance.
Camera:
The Reno 16 features a 50-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel 3.5x telephoto portrait camera and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide camera. The Reno 16c also gets a 50-megapixel main camera and the same 50-megapixel telephoto lens, paired with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. Both phones include a 50-megapixel ultra-wide selfie camera with a 100-degree field of view.
The Reno 16 series also comes packed with several AI-powered photography features. These include AI Remix Collage, which combines photos, Live Photos and videos into shareable collages, along with Pop Cam, Popout 2.0, AI Recompose, AI Perfect Shot, AI Best Face, AI Eraser and AI Studio.
Performance, software and battery:
Under the hood, the Reno 16 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Reno 16c runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor. Both phones ship with ColorOS 16 and support AI LinkBoost 4.0 for improved connectivity and AI HyperBoost 2.0 for smoother gaming performance.
The software also introduces several AI-powered productivity features, including AI Mind Pilot, AI Mind Space and more.
Oppo has also increased the battery capacity of its Reno series this year. The Reno 16 packs a 6,700mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, while the Reno 16c offers a larger 7,000mAh battery with the same 80W charging support.

Alongside the smartphones, Oppo unveiled the OPPO Bubble, its first smart camera companion. The magnetic accessory features a 1.73-inch AMOLED display that mirrors the rear camera preview, allowing users to take selfies and group photos using the primary cameras.
