A favourite late-night music venue has had a near miss after it was caught up in a “large” nearby blaze with fire running up the side of the Northbridge building.
Badlands Bar escaped a nearby blaze with flames only reaching the side of the building, avoiding any significant damage.
Police were also called to the fire near McIver Station in Northbridge about 4.20am on Thursday.
The blaze took off through nearby vegetation, becoming a “large” fire before reaching the venue.
It is understood the music venue building has not suffered serious damage, with flames only running up the side of the exterior wall.
Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the fire, but at this stage it is not thought to be suspicious.
