Powerball has soared to $60m after no major prize winners were announced for the fourth week running.

Thursday night’s Powerball failed to find a Division 1 winner for the fourth week in a row, making next Thursday’s draw a whopping $60m jackpot.

The jackpot, if won, would be the second-biggest Australian lottery prize so far this year.

“The last Aussie to claim an entire $60m Powerball jackpot was a Queanbeyan woman in May, after a last-minute number swap landed her the prize,” The Lott spokeswoman Anna Hobdell said.

“So far this year, 16 division one winning entries have scored an incredible division one prize in Powerball, and surprisingly, we haven’t seen Powerball offer $60m for more than four months.

“The Powerball jackpot is on the rise once again and we can’t wait to see if someone snares $60m this week or whether the prize will climb higher for next week’s draw.”

So far this year, division 1 winners have taken home more than a combined $386m.

Despite a lack of division 1 winners, this week was not without champions.

A total of 10 division 2 winners received $73,060.70 each and 78 division 3 winners took home a substantial pot of $11,585.20.

The winning numbers in Powerball draw 1585 were called as 16, 3, 10, 24, 2, 11 and 6. The all-important Powerball number was 14.

The Powerball lottery celebrated its 30th birthday in 2026.
