Liverpool’s stuttering start to the Premier League season continued as they were held to a 0-0 draw by Fulham at Anfield, while Chelsea were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against unbeaten Hull City on Saturday.
Nottingham Forest secured a 2-1 victory at Aston Villa, while Ipswich Town produced a dramatic 3-2 win at 10-man Crystal Palace. Bournemouth and Brentford also shared the points in a 2-2 draw.

The results mean Hull remain unbeaten after four games and have eight points, while Liverpool have now drawn three of their opening four league matches under new manager Andoni Iraola. Chelsea have seven points.
Tottenham Hotspur were drawing 0-0 with Everton at half-time at the time of writing, while Arsenal were still due to face Sunderland later on Saturday.
LIVERPOOL HELD BY FULHAM
Liverpool were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Fulham at Anfield as the visitors picked up their first point of the season.
The hosts struggled to reproduce the attacking sharpness they showed in their midweek Champions League victory over Atletico Madrid. Fulham, despite arriving at Anfield after three straight defeats, looked confident and disciplined and created several opportunities on the counter.
Liverpool had their chances, but Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno made an important save from Victor Muoz, while Alexander Isak also went close. The visitors threatened through Josh King and Gonzalo Garca as Liverpool struggled to find a way through their defensive structure.
The result leaves Iraola’s side with just one win from their opening four league matches and three draws in that run. Fulham, meanwhile, finally got off the mark.
HULL EXTEND UNBEATEN RUN
Hull City continued their impressive return to the Premier League with a 2-2 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea made a quick start, with Morgan Rogers putting the hosts ahead after seven minutes. Hull responded strongly, however, as Mohamed Belloumi scored twice to turn the game around before half-time.
Joao Pedro eventually rescued a point for Chelsea in the 66th minute, finishing from Cole Palmer’s assist. Hull then had to withstand sustained pressure from the hosts but held on for another valuable point.
The promoted side have now collected eight points from their opening four games, having also beaten Manchester United and Coventry City and drawn with Aston Villa. Their unbeaten run has made them one of the early surprises of the season.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are still searching for their first clean sheet of the campaign after another difficult defensive display.
FOREST SNATCH LATE WIN AT VILLA
Nottingham Forest secured their first Premier League victory of the season with a 2-1 win at Aston Villa.
Liam Delap put Forest ahead shortly after half-time before Villa finally scored their first league goal of the season through Alysson, who headed in John McGinn’s cross.
The hosts appeared to be heading for a point, but Forest struck again late on. Igor Jesus scored in the 88th minute to secure all three points for the visitors.
The victory gives Forest a much-needed boost after a difficult opening to their campaign, while Villa remain without a league win.
IPSWICH EDGE PALACE IN THRILLER
Ipswich Town claimed their second win of the season with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Palace took the lead through Anan Khalaili after Daichi Kamada set him up, but Ipswich quickly responded through Emersonn, who headed in Leif Davis’ cross.
The visitors then took control after Palace were reduced to 10 men before half-time. Axel Disasi was shown a red card for a reckless challenge on Jack Clarke, before Davis put Ipswich ahead.
Palace refused to give up despite their numerical disadvantage and levelled through Jorgen Strand Larsen’s superb finish.
Ipswich, though, had the final word. Zian Flemming struck in stoppage time to complete a dramatic 3-2 victory and send the travelling supporters into celebration.
BOURNEMOUTH, BRENTFORD SHARE POINTS
Bournemouth are still waiting for their first Premier League win under Marco Rose after being held to a 2-2 draw by Brentford.
Kevin Schade gave Brentford the lead before Bournemouth turned the game around through Justin Kluivert and Marcus Tavernier.
Schade then completed his brace with a lob to level the scores and extend Brentford’s unbeaten start to the campaign. Bournemouth have now dropped points after taking the lead in another league match.ed points after taking the lead in another league match.
