President Donald Trump called Nicki Minaj “one hell of a beautiful a**” in front of her and supporters at a campaign rally.
The Commander-in-Chief, 80, remarked that the rapper, 43, would be “hard to miss” due to her bum before insisting he hoped Nicki was not “insulted” by the comment as she stood to receive a round of applause from attendees at the event in Port Huron, Michigan, on Sunday (25.10.26).
President Trump – who has been married to First Lady Melania Trump since January 2005 – said: “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful a** before: Nicki Minaj. That’s hard to miss. Stand up, Nicki. That’s hard to miss!”
He added: “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki. She’s been with us for a long time.”
Nicki accompanied the president aboard Air Force One, while White House Communications Director Steven Cheung jokingly suggested she could become the administration’s next press secretary after Katie Zacharia left the role on October 16 following just five days in the job.
Taking to X, Mr Cheung, 44, shared a video of the Super Bass hitmaker praising President Trump’s foreign policies.
He captioned the post: “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NICKIMINAJ (sic).”
After the White House reacted with an eyeballs emoji, Trump adviser Alex Bruesewitz, 29, reposted Mr Cheung’s upload with the caption: “Hey Barbz, what do we think about this idea?? (sic)”
Last month, Nicki gushed about her “love” for President Trump, saying how thrilled she is “to have the opportunity to work with this administration and to work with” the Republican Party leader.
Speaking to Fox News, the Starships artist added: “He has inspired many people, not just me, and he’s fun.
“He’s not just smart, and he’s not just the president, he’s also someone that I can relate to, someone that every time I see him or every time I see him speaking to other people, he’s just himself.”
Nicki also spoke about her connection with the politician and businessman, adding that he makes people feel “heard” and understood.
She said: “He’s very grounded. It’s easy to connect with him, it’s easy to feel like he heard you, he understands you and I just love him.”
The 12-time Grammy nominee recently signed up as a judge for the Million Dollar Pitch Competition, a Small Business Administration competition featuring a special appearance by President Trump.
