Paris Saint-Germain have signed Spain forward Ferran Torres from Barcelona, while Atletico Madrid have completed the acquisition of Tottenham Hotspur captain Cristian Romero, with both deals confirmed by the clubs on Saturday.
Torres joins PSG on a contract running until June 2031. Media reports place the transfer fee for the 26-year-old at approximately €50 million ($57.83 million).

Torres moves to Paris following a strong campaign with Barcelona, where he scored 21 goals and provided three assists in 49 appearances across all competitions as the Catalan club retained their LaLiga title.
The forward also played a key role for Spain at the 2026 World Cup, scoring the extra-time winner in the final against Argentina to secure the trophy.
Torres originally joined Barcelona in 2022 from Manchester City and has scored 25 goals in 65 appearances for Spain. His transfer to PSG sees him reunite with Luis Enrique, who previously managed him with the national team.
Meanwhile, Atletico Madrid have signed Romero from Tottenham on a deal until June 2031, ending the Argentina international’s five-season tenure in north London.
The Spanish club did not disclose the financial details, though British media report Atletico paid around £34.2 million ($46.27 million) for the 28-year-old defender.
Romero joined Tottenham initially on loan from Atalanta in 2021 before completing a permanent transfer. He made 156 appearances and scored 13 goals across all competitions for the Premier League side.
The centre-back addressed his departure on Friday, stating that he was leaving with “a heart full of memories and enormous pride for everything we lived and achieved together.”
Romero was part of Argentina’s World Cup-winning squad in 2022 and featured throughout the 2026 World Cup, including the final.
His spell at Tottenham included friction towards the end of last season. Romero drew criticism after travelling to Argentina prior to Spurs’ final league match against Everton, while the club was still working to guarantee their Premier League status.
