It’s the first of the two quarterfinals days at Wimbledon 2026. It’s a big day, involving some big names.
Jannik Sinner, the defending champion and men’s singles World No. 1, will not be in action on Centre Court today.
On Court 1, he will take on German Jan-Lennard Struff, who is one of the most experienced players on the tour.
On Centre Court, it will be Jessica Pegula vs Naomi Osaka in an all-American women’s singles quarterfinal. Alexander Zverev, meanwhile, will return to action to compete his fourth-round match against Jiri Lehecka, which was suspended due to a late-night curfew yesterday.
Zverev was leading 6-4, 7-5, 3-3 when play was suspended. It was wierd as both players were willing to complete it yesterday.
The big match of the day will be Novak Djokovic against Felix Auger-Aliassime, the third seed. It’s not going to be an easy one for the 7-time champion.
And then there is Argentina vs Egypt. Well, many of you would be checking schedules for a possible clash. Here’s our preview of that FIFA World Cup Round of 16 game.
