Selections based on a soft track.

Race 1

2. Donatello is a former New Zealander that has had two starts since arriving in Australia for a fourth on the Kensington track and a latest fifth at Randwick behind Agent Zero. He was beaten less than a length in that event and sticks at the same distance in this. He looks set to break through with a win. 3. Scoop The Pool has a solid record with five placings from nine starts and hit the line well when a last-start second at Newcastle. This looks well within his reach. 6. Aurora Effect ran well enough when a last-start third at this track and only needs to run up to that to figure in the placings again. 1. Master Of War has been placed in four of eight starts and has minor money claims.

How to play it: Donatello WIN.

4. Mind Ya Bizz was placed in her first two starts at Gosford and this track before finishing fourth in two subsequent runs at Gosford and Canterbury. She resumes from a spell in this on the back of two trials and looks well suited to break her maiden. 6. Rising Revolution was placed on debut at this track last September and has had a trial in preparation for this return to racing. 7. Stardust Memories was midfield as favourite on debut at Kembla Grange and gets another chance to show up here. 9. Scuro Star has trialled well leading into this race debut and should be considered among the main chances.

How to play it: Mind Ya Bizz WIN.

Race 3

1. Jonson ran a good race when resuming from a spell with a close-up second placing at Gosford. He backed that up with a third at Newcastle after leading and only needs to hold that form to be the one to beat here. 3. Yeszem followed a couple of placings with a last-start flop at Parkes but can lift on that effort. 5. Heard Of Him ran fourth on debut at Bathurst and should be better for the experience. 10. Yes Arnie has a couple of recent placings to his name and is far from the worst.

How to play it: Jonson WIN.

Race 4

2. Sapling has had two starts back from a spell for a fifth at Hawkesbury and a fourth at Gosford and had a trial in between. How to play it: Sapling WIN.

2. Prinzerro was down the track on resumption on the Kensington track but ran better when a last-start seventh at Newcastle after racing on the speed. He’s worth another chance here and has the ability at best to be winning this. 6. Gandalf is resuming here and ran second in a recent trial at Gosford behind Shaggy in preparation. 3. Still Alice won at Gosford before failing at Randwick and then being spelled. She resumes here after two trials and bears close watching. 4.
