A man attempting to ride his motorcycle across a waterlogged stretch amid strong currents in Rajasthan’s Sawai Madhopur was swept away along with his bike. Although he managed to escape safely, his motorcycle was carried away by the rushing water.
The Jhareti stream, which carries water from the forests and hills of Ranthambore, was flowing at full force following the incessant rainfall since morning.

As water accumulated on the crossing, vehicles began lining up on both sides as people waited for the flow to subside. However, one man decided to attempt the crossing on his motorcycle despite the strong current.
He managed to ride through the water for a short distance before losing his balance. The force of the current then swept him and the motorcycle downstream.

The man tried to hold on to his bike, but the strong current proved too powerful. The motorcycle was eventually pulled completely into the rushing water.
Fortunately, the man was able to make his way out of the water after being swept away for some distance. He escaped without serious injury, but his motorcycle was lost in the current.
The incident once again highlighted the risks of attempting to cross flooded roads and seasonal waterways during heavy rain. Authorities have repeatedly advised people against crossing roads, streams and other waterlogged stretches when the current is strong.
