Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna’s Ranabaali is inching towards the Rs 50-crore mark worldwide, but its first Monday brought a dip in box-office collections. The period-action drama earned an estimated Rs 5.40 crore India nett (gross minus taxes) on Day 4, taking its domestic nett total to Rs 29.45 crore. With its weekday performance now under scrutiny, the film will need to sustain audience interest to build on its opening-weekend collections.

According to trade tracker Sacnilk, Ranabaali has collected Rs 43.85 crore in worldwide gross earnings after four days in theatres. Its India gross collection stands at Rs 34.35 crore, while its overseas gross total has reached Rs 9.50 crore. The film earned around Rs 50 lakh from overseas markets on Monday.

Ranabaali box office collection Day 4

Ranabaali opened in theatres on Friday with an India nett collection of Rs 9.25 crore. However, the film witnessed a decline over the next two days, earning Rs 7.30 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.50 crore on Sunday. While Sunday brought a marginal increase of around 2.7 per cent over Saturday, the collection remained below the film’s opening-day figure.

The first Monday saw collections fall further to Rs 5.40 crore nett across 2,186 shows, according to Sacnilk. This represents a drop of around 28 per cent compared with Sunday’s earnings. The decline suggests that the film has entered a crucial phase of its theatrical run, with its weekday hold likely to influence its prospects over the coming weekend.

Here is the film’s India nett collection so far:

Day 2

Day 3

With its worldwide gross at Rs 43.85 crore, the film is around Rs 6.15 crore short of the Rs 50 crore milestone. Whether it crosses the mark in the next few days will depend on its weekday collections and the response it receives over the second weekend.

Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna reunite on screen

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, Ranabaali marks his second collaboration with Vijay Deverakonda after Taxiwaala. The period drama also reunites Vijay and Rashmika for the third time after Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. Their latest collaboration has attracted attention as their first on-screen pairing since their wedding in February.

Vijay plays Singanamala Bobbili Ranabaali, a warrior from Rayalaseema who rises against British colonial rule. Rashmika portrays Jayamma, his wife, whose relationship with the protagonist forms an important part of the story. International actor Arnold Vosloo, known for The Mummy, plays Sir Theodore Hector, a fictional British commissioner who serves as the antagonist.

All about Ranabaali

Set against the backdrop of the Great Madras Famine of 1876–1878, Ranabaali tells a fictional story of resistance to British colonial rule. The narrative follows a warrior fighting oppression and attempting to protect his people, rather than focusing on a well-known historical figure.

The film has received mixed responses from critics and audiences. Its reported production budget of around Rs 120 crore also makes its theatrical performance an important factor in determining its commercial prospects.

With the film now approaching Rs 50 crore worldwide, its performance through the weekdays and into the second weekend will be closely watched. A sustained run could help it build on its current total, while a continued slowdown would make the next few days more challenging.
