Actor Rashmika Mandanna is set to return to work soon after taking a brief break to recover from a hip injury sustained while shooting her upcoming film, Mysaa. Nearly a month after opening up about her injury, the actor has now shared an update, revealing that she will soon resume her professional commitments.

The 30-year-old actor shared a glimpse of how she spent her time at home while recovering. From performing puja and playing with her dog to solving picture puzzles and relaxing in her garden, the actor gave fans a peek into her low-key recovery period.

Sharing a carousel of pictures and videos, the Cocktail 2 actor admitted that while she is looking forward to getting back to work, she will miss the time she spent at home with her loved ones.

“I am getting back to work soon, and I am definitely going to miss all of this! (sic), she wrote.

Rashmika’s injury came to light in July, after reports emerged that she had hurt herself while shooting for Mysaa. On August 3, the actor confirmed the injury and explained what had happened in a detailed social media post.

She revealed that one of the four tendons connecting the hip to the leg on the right side had detached and needed time to heal. According to Rashmika, the injury occurred during a dance shoot for Mysaa, which she described as “the most aggressive film” she has ever worked on.

“…the injury is basically… there are four tendons on each side of your hip that connects your hip to your leg and one of those tendons on my right hip apparently had detached and that has to attach again for me to be able to lift my leg up and stuff, and this happened during my dance shoot for Mysaa,” she had written.

The actor also joked that the injury was perhaps a sign from God that she needed to slow down and take a break.

Rashmika described her time away from work as a “forced holiday” and said she used the break to rest, solve puzzles and spend time at home. She also admitted that being unable to exercise was one of the biggest challenges for her, given her regular workout routine.

“Not complaining at all! I’ve been doing a lot of puzzles — had no idea I was this good with them,” she wrote, adding that she was trying not to put on weight as she could not work out or run during her recovery.

Before her injury, Rashmika had been juggling multiple projects. She will next be seen in Mysaa. The film is an emotional action thriller set against the backdrop of the Gond community.

She also has Ranabaali alongside Vijay Deverakonda. Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the Telugu period drama is set during the British era. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on September 11.
