The remaining ISIS-linked Australia woman in Syria, who had been previously subject to a temporary exclusion order, has been issued a permit to return to Australia.
Home Affairs Minister Tony Burke told ABC AM the woman was issued with the permit last night.
“We received the final advice yesterday that we can no longer have an exclusion condition any longer for her,” he said.
Mr Burke insisted domestic intelligence and security agencies were prepared for her arrival.
“She will have to report where she lives, where she works, where she studies, if she books a ticket to anywhere, for telecommunications she cannot use any telecommunications device without giving 24 hours’ notice,” he said.
The woman and her disabled child are the last of the Australians who had been trapped in the al-Roj internment camp in Syria’s northeast.
